Rock Jock High Steer Knuckle Kit | for Ram Assist (Wrangler JK 2007-2018)
RockJock's High Steer Knuckle Kit for JK Wrangler and Unlimited vehicles is a game changer that provides everything you need to get the job done! The components in this kit are specifically engineered to modernize your JK's steering and trac bar geometry to the improved specs. of a JL/JT, dramatically improving drivability as well as off-road performance.
Intended for use on factory axles (Dana 30 and 44), this kit replaces the factory outer steering knuckles with our RJ-437100-101 cast iron high steer knuckles that exceed OEM quality and strength. Our knuckles raise both the tie rod and drag link 2 3/4 in., moving the rods out of the way of rocks and helping to restore factory steering geometry for improved drivability and overall road comfort on a lifted rig. Additionally, the new knuckles push the tie rod outward, away from the axle slightly, allowing for tighter (JL/JT) steering angle over that of stock JK and 1 ton axles. 2 adjustable steering stop locations (fore and aft of axle centerline) for full lock-to-lock adjustability ease the strain on steering components at full lock.
Our Currectlync steering included in this kit features our revolutionary JK-9704DL-T high articulation forged chromoly drag link that incorporates a unique organic shape with many compound curves that can only be achieved via forging, resulting in maximum up-travel capabilities. Our RJ-432103-101 tie rod is a 42mm (1 5/8 in.) diameter chromoly tube. All Currectlync steering ends are forged steel and comparable in size to those found on modern 1-ton trucks.
The included RJ-9120FJLF forged chromoly organically shaped JL/JT front trac bar's longer length pushes the trac bar adjuster joint outboard of the frame rail providing an additional 5/8 in. of up-travel!
Given the dramatic geometry changes vehicle lifts impose, this kit includes our RJ-431109-103 fully integrated trac bar relocation and ram assist mounting bracket that raises your trac bar mounting point 2 in. and corrects it's geometry to prevent bump steer, as well as providing you with a solid mounting point for a JL/JT spec. hydraulic steering assist ram (allowing for more steering angle). The bottom of the bracket acts as a skid plate, protecting the ram from rocks.
Also provided is our RJ-441001-101 forged chromoly ram assist clamp that easily installs onto the 42mm (1 5/8 in.) tie rod tube, allowing for full adjustability and an easy hook-up point for the other end of your ram.
The new knuckles allow for all other factory outer components to be retained, including outer axles, unit bearings, dust shields and brakes. The use of RockJock's RJ-107101-101 adjustable front bump stop kit is strongly encouraged to allow for maximum up-travel, as engineered.

- For use on any factory JK front differential (Dana 30 or 44), or any aftermarket JK replacement axle that features factory specification inner C-knuckles and up to 3 1/2 in. diameter axle tubes.
- Retains factory unit bearings, axle shafts, ball joints, steering stop bolts and brakes with dust shields.
- Trac bar relocation / ram assist axle bracket kit provides new sway bar link mounting holes that are raised 2 1/8 in. higher than stock (sway bar link lengths must be adjusted to accommodate this).
- Intended to be used with a minimum of a 17 in. diameter wheel and up to a 6 in. wheel backspacing.
- A minimum bump stop extension is mandatory to keep components from crashing under full articulation range conditions.
- This package requires a ram assist steering ram stroke of 7.375 in. to achieve full potential (factory steering radius). Contact PSC for their part number CAK691-RJ ram.
Notes:
** Axle bracket easily installs, but requires welding. However, it mounts solidly enough with the bolts that you can safely drive it to a welder if need be.
*** For optimum performance of this kit, we recommend the use of the RJ-107101-101 adjustable bump stop kit
