Motobilt e-Torque Battery Skid (Wrangler JL 2018+)
This heavy duty skid is designed to replace the factory skid around the E-Torque 48V Battery located on the underside of the vehicle. Our skid installs in minutes & bolts directly in place of the factory skid.
The factory skid is made from 14 Ga (0.075" thick) stamped steel. Our Motobilt skid features 2.5 times thicker steel & is constructed from 3/16" (0.1875" thick) high grade steel that is laser cut & precision CNC formed.
The replacement cost of the 48V E-Torque battery from Mopar is $1585 USD, thus, having this extra layer of protection over a high dollar part is money well spent for anyone taking their vehicle off road.
The driveshaft yoke at the rear axle is located directly across from the E-Torque battery. The increased thickness of steel on the sidewalls on our skid also provides extra protection to the 48V E-Torque Battery in the event of a broken driveshaft or broken yoke on the trail. None of our competition currently offer this battery sidewall protection.
This product fits 2019-2021 Jeep JL & JLU vehicles equipped with the optional E-Torque 48V Battery. E-Torque is available for both 2.0L 4 cylinder & 3.6L V6 engines.
This product ships as raw steel, ready for your choice of paint or powder coating. One (1) longer bolt is included for installation & the five (5) of your factory bolts are reused. Detailed installation instructions are under the 'Instructions' tab.
