This week's featured manufacturer is none other than Rock Hard 4x4. Coming to you straight out of Nebraska, this is one brand that should not go unnoticed, and for all of the obvious reasons. We run a variety of their products on both of our Jeeps- our 2008 Jeep Wrangler JKU Sahara, Shanaynay and our 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK Sport, Frankie. Their customer service, availability and quality of products and line of open communication are just some of the reasons we keep coming back for more!

One of the first upgrades for Frankie was their Tubular Rocker Guards. They are a complete bolt on application, come with everything needed for a successful installation and are finished in a heavy duty powder coat, taking one extra step out of the upgrading process for us. The directions were clear and easy to follow as well, which is always a plus in our book. The sliders gave Frankie a fresh, new look and definitely came into play several times during our spring trip at Rausch Creek Offroad Park and a few local wheeling spots near us. They are strong and sturdy enough that we were able to stand on them and rock the Jeep back and forth when we wound up high centered on an obstacle and they didn't budge! They also saved the Jeep from potential body damage several times during the trips. The sliders also act as an entry step into and out of the vehicle, which is useful since we're running a 3.5" Rock Krawler Flex Lift on 35" tires. I am of average height so I definitely appreciate the extra help. The nice part about this upgrade is the fact that we're able to run just about any suspension setup or tire size without compromising the sliders. They bolt directly to the body mounts so we don't have to worry about dismounting and remounting them when we change the lift height. The ends are tight to the body lines to provide my Jeep with maximum ground clearance.

We also run Rock Hard's skid plates on both Jeeps and can't seem to keep them in stock in our Abington location. As soon as we announce that we have a shipment delivered, customers come flocking in and the shelves are left empty every time. Shanaynay is running their full belly skid package, protecting vital undercarriage components from inevitable damage on the trail. Frankie has their oil pan/transmission skid plate and evap skid for now, until we make the move to upgrade to the full belly skid. Both Jeeps tend to navigate more toward the world of rock crawling than anything so we need skids that can hold up to the unrelenting abuse from rocks and other obstacles. These skid do their job time and time again and make it easy to slide over objects rather than getting hung up on them. Having the additional protection gives us peace of mind when traversing through the unpredictable New England terrain. Their skid plates are easy to install and although they are under the vehicles, provide a clean, finished look.

Eric's Jeep is also running Rock Hard's Bolt In Ultimate Sport Cage Kit. Installation took just 3-4 hours and was done with 1 person and some ratchet straps. The cage came with locking collars and necessary hardware so all that was needed to be done was to assemble the pieces and install. We got ours to match the black exterior of the Jeep yet it still stands out and turns heads. This cage kit is extremely practical and reliable, especially on the trails. In the event of a roll over, the cage not only protects the passengers from injury but also keeps the body rigid and stiffens the factory sport cage. The A-pillar bars came equipped with welded on grab bars which come in handy during offroad excursions. The grab bars provide us with a sturdy location to hold on to during off camber situations and just when we need to get a grip! Shanaynay is running a 4.5" EVO Coil Over Upgrade Kit on 37" tires so they also come into play when getting into and out of the Jeep.
